About Us
The People 1st Programme (PIP) supports people with an intellectual disability in human relationships, protective education and sexuality, along with parents, carers and service providers. Services are available in the Perth metropolitan area and regional WA.
PIP is a programme of FPWA Sexual Health Services , which provides sexual health services, information and training.
PIP and FPWA believe that people with disabilities must be acknowledged as sexual beings, and have access to information and resources to make informed choices about their sexuality and sexual and reproductive health.
Built on an inclusive model, PIP offers a range of services for people of all ages to develop positive relationships. Current services include one-to-one education, protective education programmes in schools and parent consultations.
PIP’s experienced team designs tailored education programmes based on clients’ individual needs and issues. Educators use demonstrative and age appropriate resources to make PIP sessions interactive, accessible and fun.
